Rooted Retreat – Rooted is our pastor/student apologetics retreat that began in 2012.  Pastor Wyman leads us through different aspects of apologetics as he gives us tools to defend our faith.  This is a weekend our students look forward to each year.  Location changes from year to year, but you can count on bon fires, great food, and great worship.

Central Student Ministry’s Current Series

We want students to hear God’s word through biblical teaching, understand how to apply it through intentional conversations, practice living it out through discipleship and missions, so that they would graduate from our student ministry owning their faith with the confidence of Christ.

Currently, our Wednesday night messages are focusing on four different challenges.  September’s challenge is for Students to Share Truth with other Students.  October is for Students to Invite Students.  November is for Students to Disciple Students. December will be for Students to Serve Students.

Our Weekly Schedule

CSM Worship  – Seventh through twelfth grade students gather to worship in the Underground on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30.  Our student praise team leads us in worship, followed by a message and small groups.

Sunday School  Sundays at 9:00am we split into small groups for fellowship and Bible study.  each Sunday School class is divided by gender and grouped by grades.

Central U – During the Fall and Spring Semester Central has an intentional discipleship emphasis called Central U. For the Spring Semester beginning January 12 and ending March 29, our students will be using the book “Evidence that Demands a Verdict”, where they will encounter evidences and arguments for the truthfulness of the Christian faith.  This will be led by Thomas Sewell.  Sign up is underway now.

CSM Summers

Summer Camp – Every summer we spend a week as a group.  Over the past few years, CSM has enjoyed camp in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas.  Details should be released soon regarding Camp 2020!

Missions – Over the past several years, CSM has taken mission trips to Seattle, Long Island, Texas, and Honduras.  This summer there is an intergenerational mission trip scheduled for Honduras June 6-13.  It will be opened to high school students and adults from across the church.  We also have afternoon or one-day projects throughout the year.
